Holocene was an audiovisual installation prepared for the inaugural ThirdShift street arts festival in Saint John, New Brunswick. Developed around a short “bedtime story” format that narrates the decline of earth’s civilization, the work was assembled from a series of pen and ink sketches, which were reversed and synchronized to a music soundtrack in a 10-minute video. The video was projected onto the surface of a brick wall and played in a loop for the duration of the festival.
